Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux, whose dance career began at age 14 at the Paris Opera Ballet, leads a master dance class at the Cheryl Lee Studio of Dance in South Pasadena. Bonnefoux was accompanied by Patricia McBride (not pictured), a celebrated ballerina with a career spanning more than three decades. Bonnefoux has danced with the Bolshoi, Kirov and the New York City ballets and is now the artistic director, choreographer and teacher for the ballet company and school at the Chautauqua Institute in New York. The masters dance class precedes the North Carolina Dance Theatre performance led by both Bonnefoux, the artistic director, and McBride, the associate artistic director. The two dancers will return for a performance at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg in February.
