Published March 17, 2001|Updated Sept. 9, 2005

What: Fourth annual Pass-a-Grille Woman's Club Home Tour. Five beach cottages, all new to the tour, will be open in the Pass-a-Grille section of St. Pete Beach.

When: 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. April 1.

Where: Pass-a-Grille. Tickets indicate locations and parking. Transportation is provided to the tour homes.

Tickets: $20, available at Moon Shadow, 338 Corey Ave., and Nancy Markoe Gallery, 3112 Pass-a-Grille Way, both in St. Pete Beach, or call (727) 497-2712 for a recorded message about how to order tickets by mail. Friendly warning: This very popular tour is a consistent sellout before tour day. Proceeds will be used to restore the Woman's Club meeting house, built in 1938.

The homes: This year's tour houses are all casual beach cottages built between 1901 and "not so long ago," tour organizers say, that combine their original charm with careful restoration and renovation. Look for decks, balconies and porches to catch gulf breezes, colorful gardens, tiny guest cottages, family heirlooms and antiques.

What else: Tea and cookies will be provided at the Eighth Avenue Fish House and Grill. The Woman's Club cookbook will be on sale.
