Don and Wanda Beaumier celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a weeklong trip to Arizona. They were married March 2, 1951, in St. Petersburg.
Mrs. Beaumier moved to St. Petersburg from Warren, Ohio, in 1950. Mr. Beaumier moved to St. Petersburg from Portland, Maine, in 1950. They own St. Petersburg Window Sales.
They are members of Pinellas Park Wesleyan Church and have five children, nine grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Tom and Berniece Massaro celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. They met in Sioux Falls, S.D., where Mrs. Massaro worked as a secretary and they were married Feb. 11, 1946. They lived in Cherry Hill, N.J., for 50 years before moving to St. Pete Beach in February 1997.
Mrs. Massaro is a native of Spirit Lake, Iowa. Mr. Massaro is a native of Philadelphia and retired as a steamfitter. He served in the Army during World War II.
They have five children and six grandchildren.
Nathaniel and Ida Surcy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends at a surprise luncheon hosted by their son, Ivan Surcy, at Leverock's Seafood House in St. Petersburg. They were married Feb. 24, 1951, in St. Petersburg.
Mrs. Surcy moved to St. Petersburg from Bradenton and retired in 1990 as a teacher from Madeira Beach Middle School after 35 years. She is a member of First Baptist Institutional Church in St. Petersburg. Mr. Surcy retired as a chauffeur in 1998 after 37 years and is a member of 20th Street Church of Christ in St. Petersburg.
They have a son.
