Man exposed himself, girl tells deputies

(ran PW, PS editions)

A 16-year-old girl told Pasco County sheriff's deputies that a 40-year-old man exposed himself to her Sunday evening, according to a report.

The girl told deputies that the man drove up to her at an undisclosed location in Regency Park. The girl said the man asked her name, which she first refused to give, but later gave him a name. The man then asked how old she was, and the girl refused to tell him.

According to the report, the man told her she was beautiful and that he "likes to stalk little girls." The man then exposed his genitals.

The girl described the man as white, bald and with a mustache. She couldn't give police a height, but said he was slim, about 130 pounds. She said he was driving a beat-up older black car.

Teenage boys held

in theft of car

NEW PORT RICHEY _ Two teens were arrested Sunday after police, on a tip from one of the teens' father, saw them ditch a stolen car near Green Key Beach.

The boys, both 17, were arrested at 12:22 a.m. Monday after they were seen walking away from the white Plymouth on Green Key Road.

One of the teens' father told police that he overheard his son on the phone telling someone that the two stole the car in West Virginia and drove it to Florida. That boy is from Scott Depot, W.Va. The other lives in Lynchburg, Va.

Both were arrested on a charge of grand theft after police confirmed with West Virginia authorities that the car was stolen. They were taken to the Pasco County juvenile jail.

Because they are juveniles, the Times is withholding their names.
