The senior picked up comfortable victories at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles to lead the Panthers to a 6-1 win. In singles play, Rao defeated Irvin MacQuarrie 6-2, 6-3. In doubles, Rao teamed with Naveen Reddy for an 8-4 victory.
Rao is unbeaten in both slots.

SOFTBALL: Krissi Castiglione of Citrus went 3-for-3 with 3 RBI in a 10-0 victory over Dunnellon. Teammate Tabitha Schrufer threw a one-hitter with nine strikeouts to earn the win.

Seven Rivers Christian's Julie Green went 4-for-4 with 2 RBI in a 16-2 win over Cedar Key.

TENNIS: Jessie Roberts of Lecanto earned victories at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles in a 4-3 win against Citrus. She repeated the feat later in the week as the Panthers improved to 11-0 by beating North Marion.
WEIGHTLIFTING: Lecanto's Terence Hollis (169) and John Starr (129) each qualified for the state meet in a victory over Dunnellon.
TRACK AND FIELD: Shawn Allen of Seven Rivers Christian took first in the Chiefland Invitational with a high jump of 6 feet, 4 inches.
