Registration for new students in Pasco County is Aug. 7 for secondary students and Aug. 8 for elementary students. The first day of school for all students is Aug. 13. All students registering for the first time in a Florida school, or former students who are changing or transferring to a school within Pasco County, are encouraged to register at their school during the summer.
A new immunization requirement for children in prekindergarten and kindergarten is the Varicella (chicken pox) vaccine or documentation of a history of chicken pox. Students who are enrolling who have attended school elsewhere in the United States have 30 days for their previous records to arrive. Thirty-day waivers are not applicable for first-time enrollees or seventh-graders.
