Pasco deputy arrested a 35-year-old Hudson woman after she slapped a 12-year-old girl for being "obnoxious," according to reports.

Dawn Marie O'Leary of 9802 Bolton Avenue was trying to take the girl home Sunday at 7:30 p.m., but the girl refused to go because she thought O'Leary was intoxicated, reports stated. According to reports, O'Leary grabbed the 12-year-old by the shoulders and pulled her. She then slapped her with an open hand across the left side of her face, leaving a 4-inch bruise on the girl's face.

The girl said she had a sore jaw but no other injuries. O'Leary left the unidentified home and was arrested at her home at 8:51 p.m. She told the deputy that she slapped the girl because she was obnoxious, reports stated.

O'Leary was charged with child abuse and taken to the Land O'Lakes jail, where she posted $5,000 bail at 12:40 a.m. Monday.
