BOXING: Showtime will launch a bimonthly show that will be geared for true fans. The show will be called ShowBox, the New Generation and will be televised live at 5 p.m. Saturday. Martin O'Malley and Leonard Dorin will box in the featured 10-round lightweight bout in the opening show in Bally's Park Place at Atlantic City, N.J.

LITTLE LEAGUE: A Saudi Arabian team is the first to qualify for this year's World Series. The team from Dhahran defeated Eifel, Germany, 2-0 Sunday to win the Transatlantic Regional Tournament in Kutno, Poland. The 55th annual Series begins Aug. 17, with the championship game scheduled for Aug. 26.
