Rough Riders invade hospital

Jordan Bridges, 15, left, talks to Rough Rider Ron Ponton about how his leg is being stretched to the correct length during his treatment at Shriners Hospital for Children in Tampa. The Rough Riders, dedicated to the memory of Theodore Roosevelt, are a service and social group that performs at various civic and humanitarian functions. The Rough Riders also handed out their trademark teddy bears to children, who also received strings of beads and pizza from Windy City pizza in Carrollwood. The hospital is one of 22 such facilities around the country that provides care without cost based on need.
