June busy month for anniversaries

Anne and Joe Priore of Clearwater recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner in New Jersey, where they were attending the wedding of a grandson who was married in the same church and on their anniversary. They were married June 21, 1941, in Glassboro, N.J.

They came here in 1991 from Glassboro shortly after celebrating their 50th anniversary. He is an Army veteran of World War II. He owned and operated J.P. Decorators and specialized in papering, painting and sandblasting. She is a homemaker.

They have five children, 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. They are members of Pinellas Park Wesleyan Church.

Dorothy D. and Bernard A. Reed of Clearwater and formerly of Palm Harbor recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family at their home in Regency Oaks. They were married on her birthday, June 22, 1941, in Cranford, N.J.

They came to Highland Lakes in Palm Harbor in 1979 from Trenton, N.J., and moved in 1996 to Regency Oaks. Both are retired educators. He taught business, was vice-principal in charge of guidance and later director of admissions at Trenton State College, and she taught music, elementary school and junior high school English. They have two sons and two grandchildren. They are members of North Bay Community Church.
