Suspect sought in Holiday Inn robbery

Authorities are looking for a man who robbed a Holiday Inn on Tuesday.

At about 6:30 p.m., the man walked into the hotel, 30307 Cortez Boulevard near I-75 and asked for a room. When the clerk started to gather check-in paperwork, the robber pointed a gun at her and demanded "all your money, right now," a sheriff's report stated.

He told her to lie on the floor. Then he left with less than $300.

The man was in his late 20s, black, about 5-foot-8, 160 pounds with very short hair, possibly bald. He wore a navy blue T-shirt with a word written on it in yellow and white block letters, a report stated. A witness said he might have worn plaid shorts. The gun was small and black.

Another witness said she saw two men run from the building at about the time of the robbery toward nearby woods.
