FAMILY: Wife, the former Molly McCaughey (married October 1990).

EDUCATION: Hobart College, 1974, bachelor of arts, psychology; Ohio University, 1976, master's of education, sports administration.

ATHLETICS: Lacrosse and football, Hobart College; Boston Marathon, 1995 (3:39.51) and 1998 (3:28.10).

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: UF intern August 1976-February 1977; ticket manager February 1977-March 1979; director of ticket and game operations March 1979-May 1980; assistant athletic director May 1980-June 1981; associate athletic director for business affairs June 1981-September 1986; interim athletic director September 1986-January 1987; senior associate athletic director January 1987-March 1992; athletic director March 9, 1992-present.

NOTES: Honorary UF alumnus; member, Division I Management Council; chief financial officer for University Athletic Association, 1981-present; in his 10 years as athletic director Florida has had 41 Academic All-Americans, fourth nationally among Division I schools; had an SEC-record 133 athletes named to the conference's Academic Honor Roll in 2000-2001; UF has been in top 10 nationally in all-sports rankings all 10 of his years as athletic director, in top five in eight years; UF has won all 10 SEC All-Sports titles, 53 SEC titles and seven national championships during his tenure.
