Fred Talley's second long touchdown run, a 38-yarder in the third quarter, put Arkansas ahead to stay and the Razorbacks survived a furious Central Florida rally for a 27-20 victory.
Central Florida coach Mike Kruczek wasn't sure Arkansas had paid much attention to the Knights.
"We have told them (the players) we are not afraid to play anyone, whether it's at their place, ours or wherever," Kruczek said. "I don't think we had respect from anybody up here because they didn't know anything about us. But, I think we have that respect now."
Talley, who had 189 yards on 27 carries, broke a tie at 10 when he hit a hole, made a move that left safety Ricot Joseph holding on to Talley's jersey, then pulled away.
Earlier, Talley's 81-yard run in the second quarter gave Arkansas a 10-7 lead.
