COACH: John Andruss.

2000-2001 RECORD: 13-6-3.

KEY RETURNEES: Sean O'Sullivan, Sr., MF (record 23 assists); Carlos Rodriguez, Sr., MF; Mike Dye, Sr., GK; David Pointec, Sr., back; Tim Woods, Jr., back; Eric Walasek, Jr., back; Brett Lorenzetti, Jr., F; Mike Baumann, Soph., MF/F.

KEY LOSSES: Dave Bernard, F (24 goals); Nick Ressel, B; Matt Berger, GK.

KEY NEWCOMERS: George Kirshy, Soph., F; Casey Dowell, Sr., back; David Truman, Jr., MF; Brandon McDonald, Soph., back/MF.

OUTLOOK: The Bears lost their top scorer in Bernard. But they return the combination responsible for many of his opportunities _ O'Sullivan and Rodriguez. Deeper and quicker than in recent years, Central should be a district contender.

COACH: Tino Vasquez.

2000-2001 RECORD: 2-15.

KEY LOSSES: Chase Copeland (10 goals).

OUTLOOK: The Leopards must regroup from the loss of their top player.

COACH: Sal Calabrese.

2000-2001 RECORD: 11-4-2.

KEY RETURNEES: Bobby Colon, Sr., MF; Greg Emmerman, Jr., MF; Mike Sullivan, Sr., back; Dan Calabrese, Jr., GK; Eric Lofsten, Sr., D; Ian Haselbarth, Sr., striker.

KEY LOSSES: Stephen Bates (25 goals), Kyle DePalma, Steve Koment, Ricky Bennett.

KEY NEWCOMERS: Steven Brand, Sr, MF/D; Devin Shaw, Soph., MF.

OUTLOOK: The Eagles hope to find offensive balance. Emmerman (12 goals, 19 assists last year) will become the focus for opponents, so another player must develop to help offset Bates' loss.

COACH: Hank Deslaurier.

2000-2001 RECORD: 5-10-4.

KEY RETURNEES: Nine starters, including Valerie Long, Jr., CMF; Kelly Lubosco, Sr., sweeper; Christina Amaufatono, Sr., B; Lindsey Butler, Sr., MF.

KEY LOSSES: Melissa Connor, stopper; Amber Hammond, MF; Alicia Easton, Connie Pow (transfer), Marissa Lubosco.

KEY NEWCOMERS: Chrissy Cullen, Fr., F; Elizabeth Wallace, Soph. D; Ashley Sprowls, Fr., MF.

OUTLOOK: The Bears return their entire midfield and defense and their leading scorer in sophomore Shannon Strat (6 goals). With Deslaurier's short passing game sinking in with the Bears, expect a breakout season.

COACH: Rick Ahrens.

2000-2001 RECORD: 1-11-4.

KEY RETURNEES: Carly Mountain, Sr., sweeper; Erin Mountain, Sr.; Sheena Cobb, Sr., MF; Katie Werner, Jr., MF; Karen Ferigno, Soph., GK.

KEY LOSSES: Kim Bowers, D; Tina Frazier, D; Dana Drake, D.

KEY NEWCOMERS: Shauna Allen, Fr.; Brittany McDonald, Jr.; Sherra Uribe.

OUTLOOK: Ahrens said he considers the poor 2000-2001 season a plus for this year, as "there's no place but up." The Leopards lack a singular standout and will rely on the ball possession style and rugged physical play that has typified the program and at times irked opponents.

COACH: Randy Strat, 1st year.

2000-2001 RECORD: 13-5.

KEY RETURNEES: Stefanie Hibbert, Sr., GK; Cyndee Cason, Jr., sweeper; Lacey Chimienti, Soph., defender; Katie Seymour, Sr., stopper.

KEY LOSSES: Seven senior starters, including Amie Farrell (county-high 17 goals), and Nicole Bernhardt.

KEY NEWCOMERS: Megan Allen, Soph., forward; Elizabeth LaBella, Fr., C/MF; Brittany Exum, Soph., D; Dana Lawuesen, Sr., MF.

OUTLOOK: Strat, a longtime Hernando Heat youth club coach, foresees a "major rebuilding season."
