AN ABUNDANCE OF PATRIOTISM

The spirit of Veterans Day was celebrated Sunday throughout the area.

A parade marched through downtown Brooksville and the annual Veterans Day service at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, sponsored by the Joint Veterans Committee, drew about 2,000.

At St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, veterans were remembered with special music and prayers.

"I think our services have changed in recent days," said the Very Rev. Robin Murray. "There are many more prayers for the government and the military."

The Springstead High School Air Force ROTC honor guard was on hand for the occasion, Murray said. The Hernando County Veterans Roundtable held a ceremony in Veterans Memorial Park on Spring Hill Drive. PLEASE SEE STORY IN METRO & STATE
