Garden Club to hear about new park

(ran PW and PS editions)

The New Port Richey Garden Club will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church, 5901 Indiana Ave., New Port Richey.

Tony Brewer will discuss Pasco county's newest park, "Werner/Boyce Salt Springs State Park in Port Richey."

Kay Simonson will provide table decorations. Genevieve Kubilis is refreshment chairman assisted by Kay Simonson, Donna Valentine, Ann Buchanan and Betty Balestrieri.

Members will bring plants for an opportunity prize. For information, call 849-8024.

Embroiderers sponsor program on buttons

The Gulfview Chapter of the Embroiderers Guild of America will meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Claude Pepper Senior Center, 6640 Van Buren, New Port Richey.

Patricia Proctor will present a program on "Antique Buttons."

Following a brown bag lunch, work will continue on the Touring Teacher Hardanger project or an item of choice.
