Forward Jason Caffey was fined $10,000 for missing Tuesday's team flight and Wednesday morning's shootaround before Milwaukee's game with the Wizards in Washington, general manager Ernie Grunfeld announced. Caffey did not play and also will forfeit the portion of his salary for the game.

CELTICS: Forward Eric Williams went on the injured list with tendinitis in his left knee and forward Roshown McLeod was activated. McLeod will go back on the injured list today, when Joseph Forte can be activated.

HAWKS: Forward Dickey Simpkins signed. He was waived by the Lakers in the preseason after playing in Greece last season.

76ERS: Aaron McKie missed the game against Charlotte because of a right foot sprain.

ALL-STAR BALLOTING: Magic guard Tracy McGrady just got some competition _ Jordan is listed as a guard, even though he's mostly playing forward for the Wizards, and the Celtics' Paul Pierce also is listed as a guard although he is listed as a forward and has played every game at forward. "You know Michael is going to get the popular vote," the Bucks' Allen said. "They're just lobbying him against the rest of the guards in the NBA right now. It doesn't make sense."
