Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre are working kind of hard in The Wash, one of those low-budget comedies that isn't any place to be if you plan on being a star. Their characters need money fast, so the boyz get a job at the local car wash where the boss (George Wallace) doesn't mind if they sometimes act the fools. (Who wrote this script, Rose Royce?) Anyway, the boss gets kidnapped _ you know how much ransom those suds busters can bring _ so Dogg and Dre plan to get him back safe. Things have changed in 25 years since Michael Schultz's Car Wash was a hit. That film had Richard Pryor, this one has Pauly Shore. Car Wash had George Carlin and Prof. Irwin Corey, The Wash has Shaquille O'Neal. This one looks as irritating as a dent that wasn't there before.
