Hudson woman sues over back treatment

A Hudson woman has filed a lawsuit against two Hernando County doctors, saying they improperly treated her back pain.

Linda Dimock says in court papers that she was admitted to Spring Hill Regional Hospital on Dec. 3, 2000, for lower back pain. She was 69 years old then and said she was diagnosed with multiple compression fractures of the spine and scoliosis. She said Dr. Medhat Reheem treated her with morphine.

She said she later lost use of her lower extremities and said Reheem and another doctor, Joseph Williams, should have sent her to a specialist earlier.

Reheem did not return a call for comment, and Williams could not be reached.
