After years of talk, there are more Rugrats on the way.
Nickelodeon, home to the Rugrats franchise for the past decade, will move forward with the series' first spin-off, called Angelica and Susie's School Daze, which will revolve around the preschool characters Angelica Pickles and Susie Carmichael. Nickelodeon has ordered 13 episodes of the series.
The new series is one of five new shows Nickelodeon unveiled Tuesday that are scheduled to launch this fall.
Also on the docket:
The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius is a series that follows up last fall's theatrical film, which was also produced by Nickelodeon.
Danny Phantom is about a 14-year-old boy who can transform himself into a super hero to battle ghosts.
My Neighbor is a Teenage Robot follows a girl robot who defends the Earth from its enemies, even though she'd rather be attending high school.
Max and Ruby is a preschool show about brother and sister bunnies that will join its weekday morning Nick Jr. lineup.
Nickelodeon executives also unveiled plans to launch a two-hour afternoon block of action adventure shows on Sundays at 4 p.m. next fall.
Titled "Nickelodeon Slam," the block will include Robot Wars, a toned-down version of the same-named TNN series.
Other shows pegged for "Nickelodeon Slam" include the alien themed Butt-Ugly Martians and the returning Invader Zim. And regular series SpongeBob SquarePants, As Told by Ginger and Rocket Power will be back next fall.
