Bhante Wimala travels around the world preaching the Buddha's ancient messages of peace. His work, praised by the Dalai Lama, has been an inspiration to many who are suffering, including people in his native Sri Lanka and those in Africa with AIDS.

At USF on Saturday, the Theravada Buddhist monk will discuss how to come to terms with grief and terror _ from a Buddhist's point of view. The talk will focus on how to find inner peace and promote outer harmony.

In addition to Wimala's lecture and discussion, monks from local Buddhist temples will lead chanting intended to bless the community and the country.

If you're not familiar with Buddhism and want to learn more, check out Wimala's book, Lessons of the Lotus, which presents fundamental Buddhist teachings and principles.
