GIRLS BASKETBALL SENIOR ALL-STAR GAME

WHEN: Tonight, 7:30

WHERE: Keswick Christian, 10101 54th Ave. N

ADMISSION: $2 for adults, $1 for children. Girls middle school-age or younger wearing any basketball jersey get in free.

COACHES: Red Team _ Dave Swanson (Seminole), Nate Southern (Boca Ciega). Blue Team _ Dave Mauger (Pinellas Park), Cheryl Greene (Gibbs).

LINEUPS: Red Team _ Ashley Randle (Boca Ciega), Kasie Muchler (Clearwater), Shannon Wood (Clearwater Central Catholic), Candace Hollis, Lisa Bauford (Dixie Hollins), Kyeesha Edwards (Gibbs), Ivana Spadijer (Lakewood), Dena Anderson, Andrea Procaccio (Largo), Kristin Mock (Keswick Christian), Ashley Moyse, Renae Watson (Seminole). Blue Team _ Kelly Mitchell (Dixie Hollins), Kori Jackson, Phoebe Jones (Gibbs), Katie Bintz (Indian Rocks Christian), Monica Adams, Jessica Richert (Largo), Melissa Pickett (Northeast), Sara Wallace (Northside Christian), Gabby Fioravante, Fallon Maugaleoo, Chontae Williams (Pinellas Park), Brett Stone (St. Petersburg Catholic).

THE SKINNY: This is not a north vs. south game, instead coaches drafted players across geographical boundaries. Some schools have multiple representatives on one team (three Pinellas Park players on the Blue squad), others have players on both teams (Dixie Hollins, Gibbs and Largo). But overall, the teams appear equal _ the Red team might boast better inside players in Hollis and Mock, but Blue might have a guard advantage with Adams, Bintz and Wallace. For Hollis, this is her second all-star game in as many weeks. Last Saturday, she played for the South in a statewide senior game at Daytona Beach. Clearwater's Tom Shaneyfelt coached that team, and tonight his reliable guard, Muchler, plays for the Red.
