Last-gasp goal nets a point for Montreal

Well, it was almost worthy of a script.

On a night that recognized Nikolai Khabibulin's excellent season, and saw the Lightning goaltender make three breakaway saves, two within 51 seconds in the second period _ one on a penalty shot _ a Canadiens goal with 6.2 seconds left gave them a tie at 3 Friday night at the Ice Palace.

Yanic Perreault's goal came after Nikita Alexeev's power-play goal gave Tampa Bay a 3-2 lead with 3:37 left. That came after Andreas Dackell tied the score at 2 for Montreal with 6:57 left.

The tie increased Tampa Bay's unbeaten streak to seven (3-0-4), which equals a team record and is the league's longest active, but kept the Lightning 10 points behind the Canadiens for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Brad Richards gave the Lightning a 2-1 lead 3:16 into the second period. Andre Roy got his first goal for Tampa Bay since being acquired from the Senators to tie the score at 1 in the first period.
