Anthony A. Adamo has been named director of development for the Children's Home, Tampa. Adamo was director of corporate relations and planned giving for the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, N.Y.

Brian Kridler has been named director of new YMCA development for YMCA of the Suncoast, Clearwater. Kridler was a center executive for YMCA of Middle Tennessee, Scottsville, Tenn.

Richard Brewer has been named chief financial officer for the Pinellas Association of Retarded Children, St. Petersburg. Brewer was a certified public accountant with James R. Kist, Tampa.


John J. Walsh Jr. has been named president and chief executive of Sterling Research Group Inc., St. Petersburg. Walsh was chief operating officer and executive vice president.

April S. Pelaez, Peggy J. Frey and Jim S. Goeke have been named by Tampa Bay Research Institute, St. Petersburg, as its development and community relations department. Pelaez is vice president of development and community relations; Frey is education and community relations coordinator; and Goeke is development coordinator and database manager.

Beth Dacus has been named southeastern business development manager for Corbett Technologies Inc., St. Petersburg. Dacus was a senior account manager for EDS/Fiderus Strategic Security & Privacy Services, Tampa.


J. Greg Johnson has been named director of marketing for Carlson Adventure Travel, Palm Harbor. Johnson was a sales manager for Delta Air Lines, Tampa.

James F. Wood has been named to the board of directors of Enporion, Tampa. Wood retired as president and chief operating officer of Babcock & Wilcox Co., Barberton, Ohio.


B. Herbert Boatner Jr., who was recently named a shareholder with the law firm of Fowler White Boggs Banker, Tampa, was previously a special counsel with the firm. An item last week was incorrect on that point.
