COOGLER, WILLIAM FULTON "BILL," 81, of Brooksville, died Wednesday (May 15, 2002) in Brooksville. He was a lifelong resident of his native Brooksville. He owned his own grove, having learned the citrus business from his father. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his sister, Jane West, New Smyrna Beach. De PRIMA, JOSEPH S., 91, of Spring Hill, formerly of Port Richey, died Wednesday (May 15, 2002) at home. Born in New York City, he moved to Spring Hill seven years ago from Port Richey, where he was a longtime resident. He was a machinist for Galmans Inc., New York, with 50 years of service. He was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Helen; a son, Joseph C., Staten Island, N.Y.; a daughter, Marjorie Ferruggia, Apopka; two brothers, Salvatore D., Port Charlotte, and Carmine, Queens, N.Y.; and a grandson. LaROSE, JOSEPH E., 42, of Brooksville, died Monday (May 13, 2002) in Jacksonville. Born in Samoset, he came here in 1972 from St. Petersburg and was a landscaper. He was Protestant. Survivors include his wife, Carla "Shawn"; a stepson and three stepdaughters; his mother, Eleanor LaRose, and three brothers, Edward G. LaRose III, Larry and Paul, all of Brooksville; two nephews and six nieces; three great-nephews; and five stepgrandchildren. National Cremation Society, Brooksville.

LORD, MARY, 83, of Spring Hill, died Monday (May 13, 2002) at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she came here in 1972 from Commack, N.Y. She was a homemaker and attended St. Theresa Catholic Church. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 10209 and the Italian American Club, both of Spring Hill. Survivors include her husband, Donnell F.; a daughter, Maryrose Babino, Spring Hill; a son, Robert, Tampa; a sister, Christina Angelico, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. MURPHY, JOHN WILLIS JR. "BUDDY," 77, of Floral City, died Wednesday (May 15, 2002) at home under the care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. He came here 38 years ago from his native Gordon, Ala. He was a road construction superintendent with Carroll Contracting with 38 years of service. He was a member of the Floral City Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Eula Mae (Stokes), a son, Donald Wayne, a daughter, Lucille Carroll, two granddaughters, four grandsons, and four great-grandchildren, all of Floral City. STRONG, BARBARA JO, 40, of Brooksville, died Monday (May 13, 2002) in Brooksville. Born in Elmira, N.Y., she came to the area in 1980 from Maryland. She was an office administrator. Survivors include a son, David John Strong, and a daughter, Brittany Strong, both of Land O'Lakes; her mother and stepfather, Marcia and James Tanner, Ruskin; her father, John F. Strong, Blairsville, Ga.; a sister, Lana Marsicano, Land O'Lakes; and her grandmother, Grace Dingman, Tampa. Stowers Funeral Home, Tampa.

TAGLIAMONTE, JANE C., 76, of Spring Hill, died Thursday (May 16, 2002) at Evergreen Woods Health Center in Brooksville. Born in New York City, she came here in 1981 from Valley Stream, N.Y. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital and of St. Mary Catholic Church, Masaryktown. Survivors include her husband, Vincent P.; two daughters, Diane Mayer, Malapan, N.J., and Jeannie Chen, Spring Hill; two brothers, Angelo Oliva, Spring Hill, and Frank Oliva, Toms River, N.J.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. TAYLOR, ROBERT R., 72, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday (May 15, 2002) at home. Born in Manhattan, N.Y., he came here seven years ago from Long Island, N.Y. He was a retired loan office administrator and a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Survivors include his wife, Winifred; two sons, Robert R. Taylor Jr. and Kenneth Lawrence, both of Massapequa, N.Y.; a daughter, Winifred Ann Gioia, Smithtown, N.Y.; a brother, Donald, Calverton, N.Y.; a sister, Evelyn Smith, Florida; and four grandchildren.
