FBI Director Robert Mueller told the 26th annual gathering of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives on Monday that improving communications with federal, state and local law agencies is a top priority when it comes to homeland security. "Our communication should at least be as fast as CNN or television news, but often it is not," he said. "And we have to change that." He spoke of improving technology and increasing the agency's ability to analyze intelligence quickly and accurately. He also said he wanted to improve diversity within his agency. About 2,200 officers attended the weeklong event at the Tampa Convention Center, which includes dozens of workshops on various topics.
