Man faces rabies shots, if dog not found soon

A man was bitten by dog described as a light tan dachshund mix Wednesday while walking on Rails to Trails, according to the Department of Public Safety, Animal Control. If the dog is not found by Saturday, rabies vaccinations will have to be administered to the victim. If you have any information about this dog, please call Citrus County Animal Control at 726-7660.

TOO FAR to hear about avoiding auto theft

INVERNESS _ Taxpayers Outraged Organization For Accountable Representation meets at 7 p.m. Thursday at the East Citrus Community Center, 9907 E Gulf to Lake Highway (State Road 44 E).

The guest speaker, Crime Prevention Officer Sgt. Rainer Jakob of the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, will talk about avoiding auto theft. He also will give free "Club" devices to licensed drivers. A driver's license and automobile registration must be shown to receive a Club.

Other TOO FAR topics include updates on the Wysong construction, Lake Panasoffkee restoration project and dikes at Flying Eagle.
