Pass-a-Grille

CHASE, OWEN LOUIS, 71, of Hernando, formerly of Pass-a-Grille, died Thursday (July 18, 2002) in Hernando. Born in Ada, Mich., he moved to Hernando in 1980 from Pass-a-Grille. He was a commercial building contractor in St. Petersburg and a Merchant Marine veteran of World War II. Survivors include two sons, Robert, St. Petersburg, and Michael, Savannah, Ga.; two daughters, Cathy Kutche, Largo, and Gail Chase,; a brother, Ray; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a caregiver, Martha Smith. Tierra Verde

BURLEY, CORRINE M., 85, of Tierra Verde, died Tuesday (July 16, 2002) at College Harbor Retirement Community. Born in Chicago, she came here in 1999 from Lakeland. She was an executive secretary for the Crane Co. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of the Highlands in Lakeland. Survivors include a stepson, George F. Burley Jr., Tierra Verde; Marian Adams, Chuluota, and Kathleen Morrison, Union, Ore.; two nieces, Karen Poremba and Barbara Burtis, both of Chicago; a nephew, Robert Burtis, Chicago; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
