The Key Training Center's Run for the Money winds up Saturday with joggers' return to the Key campus and a daylong fundraising telethon at the Key television station.
The telethon can be seen on WYKE-Key TV, available on Time Warner Cable channel 16, Adelphia channels 97 and 7, Adelphia Marion channel 50 and UHF 49. To make a pledge, call 795-5541.
The Key campus is at State Road 44 and Van Nortwick Road just east of Crystal River.
Here are Saturday's events:
9 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Telethon.
9 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Live music at the Key gazebo. Country music fans can hear local singer David Robertson. The Sonshine Quartet will also entertain with old time gospel hymns.
10 a.m.: Joggers are scheduled to arrive at Key Center Campus on State Road 44 in Lecanto.
10 a.m.: Tours of Key Center start.
During the telethon, the following entertainers are scheduled to perform in the studio: Highlands Barbershoppers and Sweet Adelines; gospel singer Buddy Benedict; country and oldies singer Frank Sellers; gospel group The Mast Brothers; 2-Kaba with pop and blues; country singers Jessie Watson, Jimmy Brown, and Dave Robertson; the Sonshine Quartet; saxophone player Carl Flanagan, guitarist Mark Wilson and pianist Johnny Lobo accompanied by his daughter Jessie; Jackie Sharp School of Music with students Tiffany Colman, Jordan Ross, Cote Deonath, and Cassie Martin; Safari San Jr. with friends, hula demonstration by Rusty Bilbrey; and Elvis and Marilyn Monroe impersonators.
Telephones will be staffed by members of the Knights of Columbus Council 6168, Crystal River Rotary Club, Corrections Corp. of America and Brown Schools of Florida.
Hosts Neale Brennen and Dennis Miller will be joined by other co-hosts for the nine-hour telethon. Workers from Florida Power will help operate studio cameras.
