FOND FAREWELL: A special farewell reception was recently held for the Rev. Jorge Gonzalez-Bonilla at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Beverly Hills. The pastor, who for the past five years ministered mainly to the Hispanic community at the parish, will be returning to the Dominican Republic to be with his ailing mother. A highlight of the reception was the debut of a new Mass composition written by Ed Putnam, director of music. It was dedicated to the Rev. Paul Mizener, pastor; Gonzalez-Bonilla; and the Rev. Michael Cooper of Saint Leo University, who assists at the parish. The composition is titled "Mass of the Spirit of Our Lady of Grace" and was sung by a 150-voice choir from the parish adult and Spanish choirs, members from Blessed Trinity in Ocala, Espiritu Santo in Safety Harbor and St. Thomas Aquinas in New Port Richey. The Mass was sung in Latin, Spanish and English and received a standing ovation from the audience.
