Candidates for various county and state offices have been invited to a political forum at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Roskamp Auditorium at the Freedom Square retirement community, 7800 Liberty Lane.

The forum will cover a wide range of issues, particularly those affecting Pinellas County seniors, said Freedom Square's executive director, Dick Kendrick.

Among those scheduled to appear are state Senate candidates Dennis Jones and Joanna Kennedy, Florida House candidates Richard Langston and Leslie Waters, Pinellas County Commission candidates David Buby and John Morroni, and Circuit Court judge candidates Linda Allen, Linda Babb, George H. Brown and Jack St. Arnold.

Seminole Mayor Dottie Reeder will attend. Gubernatorial candidates were invited but had not responded yet. Audience members can try out the county's new touch-screen voting machines. The primary is Sept. 10 and the general election is Nov. 5.
