HILLSBOROUGH OBITUARIES

BAKER, MARION, 86, of Tampa died Friday (Nov. 15, 2002). She was born in Macomb, N.Y., and moved to Tampa from Interlachen in 2000. She was the owner/operator of Baker's Adult Home, an assisted care living facility, from 1959 to 1982. Survivors include her husband, Harold T. Baker, Tampa; two sons, Mark Baker, Tampa, and Ward Baker, Harrisville, N.Y.; one sister, Selena "Rose" Trotter; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. DAVIS, HOWARD MARTIN, 77, of Seffner died Wednesday (Nov. 13, 2002). He served in the Army Air Forces in World War II. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Seffner and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Survivors include his wife, Beatrice; daughters, Diane Kurvin, Norma Neal, Joyce Allen and Janice Mattison; brother, Roy Gene Davis; sisters, Helen Woldhagen and Doris Wilson; ten grandchildren; and one great- grandchild. GONZALEZ, JANE MARIE, 67, of Tampa died Thursday (Nov. 14, 2002), at St. Joseph's Hospital. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Ramon A. Gonzalez; daughters, Jane Pilar Gonzalez and Ava Teresa Gonzalez; sons, Nicholas, Louis and Anthony Gonzalez, all of Tampa; a brother, Lewis Dicillo, California; a sister, Martha Smith of Tampa; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. HENSLEY, THOMAS MARSHALL SR., 83, of Valrico died Friday (Nov. 15, 2002). Born in Barboursville, W.Va., he lived in Huntington, W.Va., before moving to St. Petersburg in 1970 and then to Valrico in 1989. A graduate of Marshall University in Huntington, he was a vocational rehabilitation counselor for the State of Florida before retiring in 1986. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Anna Jeanne Hensley; sons Tom Hensley, Gainesville, Ga., Stephen Hensley, Huntington, W.Va.; and three grandchildren. Stowers Funeral Home, Brandon.

OLIVER, CARITA B., 91, of Tampa died Friday (Nov. 15, 2002). She owned Oliver's Nursery in Tampa since 1945. Survivors include two sons, Raymond C. Oliver Jr., Tampa, and Warner B. Oliver, Riverview; daughters, Lola Williams, Tampa; Clara Boyd, Deltona; Ann Wolfgang, Seffner; and Mary Oliver and Gloria Brock Jones, both of Plant City; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. VENTO, ANTHONY "BO," 61, of Tampa died Thursday (Nov. 14, 2002). He was a Tampa native and graduated from Jesuit High School and The University of Tampa. He was the president of Vento Oil Company. He was a member of the Ybor City Optimist Club, Italian Club, former member of Tampa Sports Club and charter member of the Krewe of the Knights of Sant Yago. Survivors include his wife, June Parrino Vento; a daughter, Susanne Vento Powers; a son, Anthony A. Vento Jr.; his mother, Catherine C. Vento; sisters, Antoinette Capitano, Cathy Jo Hellner; and brother, Sam P. Vento, Jr. Gonzalez Funeral Home, Tampa.
