OVERHEARD

"I feel for Mrs. Bhalla. But living in this neighborhood knowing you are allergic to live oaks is like moving to a dairy farm with an allergy to milk."

_ South Tampa resident Bill Yanger, on his neighbors' request to chop down a large oak tree because one of them is allergic to oak pollen. A city board said no.

'"I'm hardcore. I can eat a whole box in a day. I might not feel too good after that, but it's worth every bit of pain."

_Milo Pirello, describing his addiction to Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Pirello was third in line for the opening of the area's newest Krispy Kreme, a 24-hour store in Carrollwood.

"Thank you. Thank you."

_ Hillsborough County administrator Dan Kleman, responding to the county commission's vote granting him an 8 percent raise. Kleman said his mother always told him to thank people twice when they do something nice.
