Commission chooses leaders

There were some changes at the top in Pasco County on Tuesday. The County Commission chose a new chairman and vice chairman during its meeting at the Historic County Courthouse in Dade City. Commissioners voted unanimously to appoint Commissioner Ted Schrader as chairman and Commissioner Peter Altman as the vice chairman. Commissioner Ann Hildebrand, who has chaired the board the past year, handed the gavel over to Schrader. The Pasco County School Board made similar changes at its evening meeting in Land O'Lakes. Board member Cathi Martin was elected chairwoman of the board for the first time. Martin won re-election to her District 3 seat in August and replaces Kathleen Wolf as chairwoman. Jean Larkin Weightman was elected vice chairwoman.

Correction
