Ken Hopper, left, and his wife, Crystal, paint the parking lot at Coral Reef in New Port Richey on Tuesday. "It's sort of a lost art," he said. "Everyone sprays now. That only lasts about six months. Painting by hand takes several coats and can last up to two years." Ken Hopper got started painting lots about seven years ago after someone yelled at him for unknowingly parking in a handicapped spot where the paint had worn away. The Hoppers paint six or seven lots a month.
