A lesson using teachers' pets

(ran PC edition)

Students learn about farm animals Wednesday during a Great American Teach-In event at Pasco Elementary School in Dade City. The owner of Granma's Hug-N-Farm of Crystal Springs brought chickens, rabbits and Howard the goat, below, for a presentation on the animals and their care. Students were allowed to pet the animals. The Teach-In, which celebrates American Education Week, is not just the monster of all career days, when kids learn a variety of jobs and hobbies. It's also a day when parents and schools show how they're working together to educate children. The program encourages parents, business partners, and community members to volunteer time in local schools.
