The art and crafts of 19th and 20th century Floridians will be featured in slides and displays in a free, public program starting at 11 a.m. Saturday at Heritage Village at 11909 125th St. N, Largo. Once sold as souvenirs, many Florida handicrafts are now treasured collectibles. Judy Schmutzer's presentation will include discussions about pottery, pine needle work, patchwork, alligator carvings, quilts and Seminole dolls. She teaches classes on antiques and collectibles at St. Petersburg College and other sites around Pinellas County. The village is at Pinewood Cultural Park, also home to the Pinellas County Cooperative Extension Service, Florida Botanical Gardens and Gulf Coast Museum of Art.
