West Virginia students set fires on campus and tore down the goal posts after the team's road upset of Virginia Tech on Wednesday night. Three people were arrested.

DOAK WALKER AWARD: Miami's Willis McGahee is one of eight semifinalists for the award for the nation's top running back, joining Penn State's Larry Johnson, Northern Illinois' Michael Turner, Oklahoma's Quentin Griffin, West Virginia's Avon Cobourne, Kentucky's Artose Pinner, Colorado State's Cecil Sapp and Colorado's Chris Brown.

BILETNIKOFF AWARD: Seniors Nate Burleson of Nevada and Charlie Rogers of Michigan State and Arizona State junior Shaun McDonald are finalists for the award for the nation's top receiver.

PURDUE: Offensive tackle Kelly Butler was released on $500 bond on a misdemeanor battery charge of hitting a pledge at a fraternity house where QB Brandon Kirsch earlier broke his hand in a fight.
