A 30-foot-deep sinkhole opened Thursday night and swallowed a ground-floor bedroom in Green Dolphin Condominium Villas off Alt. U.S. 19, authorities said.
Paramedics treated one person for minor injuries, according to Pinellas County Emergency Medical Services.
The sinkhole, which police said was about 25 feet wide, appeared about 9 p.m. It damaged one condo at 3005 Oak Circle toward the rear of the complex. Residents were evacuated from adjoining condominiums.
