Georgia Tech (14-13, 7-9) never trailed after Ed Nelson's putback made it 38-36 with 16:57 left. The Tigers (15-12, 5-11) lost their fourth straight and the 13th of their past 14 ACC road games.

Cremins, who lives in Hilton Head, S.C., and works as a television analyst, was honored after the game as the institute renamed the Alexander Memorial Coliseum floor Cremins Court.
