Bill Christensen, 56, Clearwater

Christensen is the No. 1 tennis player in Florida in the men's 55-and-over singles division. Christensen recently won two consecutive 55s titles in area tournaments to secure his seeding. In the St. Petersburg Country Club tournament, Christensen won without losing a set.

Lauren Companioni, 19, Tampa

A sophomore gymnast at Louisiana State, Companioni was honored last week with the school's student-athlete of the year award. Companioni, a 2001 Plant High graduate, has a cumulative 4.0 GPA and earned first-team All America honors for gymnastics and scholarship in 2002. She is majoring in psychology with plans to continue post-graduate study in a medical field.

Clint Bullock, 56, Spring Hill

Bullock, a retired New York firefighter who moved to Florida in 1991, bowled his sixth career 300 game Feb. 5 in the Spring Hill Wednesday Night Mixed League at Spring Hill Lanes. Bullock rolled his first perfect game in 1997. All took place at Spring Hill or Mariner Lanes.
