MJ rips youngsters

This is not how Michael Jordan imagined the final 20 games of his career: abandoned by his own body and, increasingly, the men he chose to play by his side. Jordan blasted Wizards teammates for lack of desire after he scored 39 Sunday in a 97-96 loss to the Knicks, his last game at Madison Square Garden. "It's very disappointing when a 40-year-old man has more desire than 25-, 26-, 23-year-old people, diving for loose balls, busting his chin, doing everything he can to get this team in the playoffs and it's not reciprocated from the other players," Jordan said. Three of Washington's last four losses have come against teams with sub-.500 records, and with the Wizards 2{ games out of the final playoff spot and losing ground fast. "It's frustrating because I know what these players are all capable of. In a sense, I know more about them than they do," he said when asked about his management record, which he promises will continue next year as he returns to his executive post. When asked whether his frustration would cause him to play one more season, Jordan responded: "Are you nuts?"

ANSWER

Of the 46 previous teams that lost 105 or more, only the 1915-16 A's (109-117), the 1925-26 Red Sox (105-107) and the 1938-39 Phillies (105-106) lost more the next season.
