Real estate company opens office in Hernando Beach

Daniel J. Richard, broker and president of Exit Success Realty, has opened a second office, at 4088 Shoal Line Blvd. in Hernando Beach.

Managing the office will be Lance and Sharon Sutter. Associates include Mike Kellogg, Bonnie and Ed Kohlmier and Al Stiles. The phone number is 592-8404.

Also, at a recent sales meeting, Exit Success Realty announced its annual awards.

Cathy Sekulski received the Employee of the Year award and Elke Harris received the Award of Excellence for sales agents.

The additions of several Realtor associates to the Exit Success Realty family were announced: Ron Bain, Ruth Hersh, Sandra Smith, Mary Jane Messineo, Margaret Vislocky, Jerry Laidler, Susan Roscillo, Frank Bialaszewski and Aileen Petersen.

Good Shepherd Medical Clinic, 10087 Cortez Blvd., Spring Hill, has met all of the criteria for laboratory accreditation by the Commission on Office Laboratory Accreditation.

Accreditation is given only to laboratories that apply rigid standards of quality in day-to-day operations, demonstrate accuracy and pass a rigorous on-site laboratory survey.

In its survey conducted Feb. 24, the commission stated that the Good Shepherd lab showed no deficiencies in 299 criteria.

Registered nurse Loretta Florey has been appointed as the director of nursing services at Evergreen Woods Health and Rehabilitation Center in Spring Hill.

Florey has worked elsewhere as a director of nursing. In addition to being a registered nurse, she is certified as a gerontological nurse and is a member of the American Nurses Association.

Florey is enrolled at the University of Southern Queensland, working toward her bachelor's degree in nursing. She has completed studies in being an assisted living facility administrator and in risk management.

Good Shepherd Medical Clinic has announced that Dr. Carmen Nan has joined the group practice and will be moving to its new location at 8425 Northcliffe Blvd., Spring Hill, when the facilities are completed later this summer.

Nan is board certified in internal medicine and is on the staff at all three Hernando County hospitals. Her current office is on Cortez Boulevard.

Dr. David M. McGrew has been installed as president of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Physicians for a one-year term. The national organization, of which McGrew is a charter member and past treasurer, includes approximately 1,700 members.

McGrew is the medical director of Hernando-Pasco Hospice and has served in that capacity since 1985. He is also the utilization review and case management physician adviser for Oak Hill Hospital in Spring Hill.

McGrew holds numerous other leadership positions, including president of Hospice and Palliative Physician Services LLC; diplomat of the American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and fellow of the Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

A native of Bethesda, Md., McGrew has lived in Spring Hill since 1973. He is a graduate of the University of South Florida College of Medicine and also received his undergraduate degree in natural sciences from USF.
