COWELL, DANIEL L., 42, of New Port Richey, died Friday (March 7, 2003) at Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital, Tarpon Springs. Born in Fort Lauderdale, he spent most of his life in Temple Terrace. Survivors include his wife, Karen; four sons, Daniel Jr., Kentucky, Christopher Lee, New Port Richey, Joshua Adam and Jacob Anthony, both of Holiday; his father, Harry, Maggie Valley, N.C.; four brothers, James, New Port Richey, Michael, San Antonio, William, and David, both of Maggie Valley; a sister, Tamara Smith, Land O'Lakes; and one grandchild. CREE, MARTIN R. SR. "BUD," 82, of New Port Richey, died Friday (March 7, 2003) at Life Care Center of New Port Richey. Born in Elizabeth, N.J., he came here two years ago from Beachwood, N.J. and was an insurance agent for Prudential Insurance Co. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was Roman Catholic. Survivors include a son, Bob, New Port Richey; a daughter, Merri Lee Becker, Bayville, N.J.; a sister, Dolores Hendrickson, Toms River, N.J.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. HEDGES, TERESA MARIE, 42, of New Port Richey, died Sunday (March 9, 2003) at Community Hospital of New Port Richey. Born in Chicago, she came here seven years ago from Elkorn, Wis. She was Lutheran. Survivors include two sons, Steven Lee Hedges, Hudson, and Jeremy Hedges, New Port Richey; her father and stepmother, Dennie Lee Sr. and Nancy Hedges, Delphi, Ind.; a brother, Dennie Lee Hedges, Spring Hill; a sister, Linda Lee Miller, Hudson; and four stepsisters, Cathy Scholz, West Allis, Wis., Debra Zaborowski, Libertyville, Ill., Pamela Godwin, Gilberts, Ill., and Virginia Tousey, Lake Zurich, Ill. KEENAGHAN, RAYMOND F., of Bayonet Point, died Wednesday (March 5, 2003) at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson. Born in Providence, R.I., he came here 18 years ago from Narragansett, R.I. He owned a plumbing and heating business and was a Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Karla; a son, William, New Port Richey; a daughter, Deborah Szpila, North Attleboro, Mass.; two sisters, Mary Keenaghan, Pawtucket, R.I., and Geraldine Quirk, Cumberland, R.I.; and three grandchildren. MAULSBY, FRANCES DEPP, 68, of Holiday, died Tuesday (March 4, 2003) at Heather Hill Nursing Home. Born in Punxsutawney, Pa., she came re 20 years ago from Indianapolis. She was a real estate broker and a licensed chiropractor. She was a member of Holiday Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Dennis R.; two sons, Mark, Tampa, and Matthew, Warsaw, Ind.; five daughters, Vicki Fisher and Tracey Rhoads, both of Warsaw, Denise Cayce, New Palestine, Ind., Janelle Jeglenski, Tampa, and Cheryl Maulsby, Holiday; a sister, Hazel Peele, Dallas; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. LARSEN, RUTH L., 84, of Port Richey, died Saturday (March 8, 2003) at Hernando Pasco Hospice Care Center, New Port Richey. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she came here 21 years ago from Sloatsburg, N.Y. She was a bookkeeper at Brooklyn Hospital. Survivors include two sons, George O. III, Port Richey, and Roger J., Fern Park; three daughters, Regina Notaro, Yonkers, N.Y., Marija Gianetti and Elizabeth Alfieri, both of Rochester; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. LARZELERE, HERBERT F., 70, of Trinity, died Friday (March 7, 2003) at home. Born in Lily, Wis., he came here 15 years ago from Long Valley, N.J. He was vice president of the claims department for Eagle Star Insurance Co., New York City. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and the recipient of the Bronze Star. He was Lutheran. Survivors include his wife, Monica A.; three sons, Mark, Phoenixville, Pa., Randy, Warwick, Md., and Larz, Madison, Wis.; two brothers, Harry, Manitowoc, Wis., and George, Wittenberg, Wis.; three sisters, Ruth Beversdorf and Mary Zilman, both of Wittenberg, and Donna Schraufnagel, Cudahy, Wis.; and five grandchildren. WESTERMAN, JAMES "JIM," 80, of Hudson, died Monday (March 10, 2003) at Heather Hills Hospice Unit, New Port Richey. Born in Chicago, he came here 10 years ago from Zephyrhills. He was a retired construction superintendent for American Engineering, Arlington Heights, Ill., and was a member of the Sheetmetal Workers International Local 73. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9655 and the American Legion Post 867, both of Forest Lake, Ill., and a member of the Eagles, Hudson, He was Catholic. Survivors include two sons, James A., Round Lake, Ill., and Darren L., Chicago; a daughter, Cherilyn Geist, Spring Grove, Ill.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
