Two men rob pizza deliverer at gunpoint in Spring Hill

Two men clad in black hoods and baggy blue jeans robbed a Domino's Pizza delivery man at gunpoint in Spring Hill about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Hernando County Sheriff's Office reported.

Domino's employee Jeremy Guck, 22, was on his way to deliver a pizza from the store, 13081 Spring Hill Drive, when two masked men approached and made Guck empty his pockets, the sheriff's report stated.

One masked man aimed a handgun at Guck and told him, "Breathe easy, and we will be out of here," the sheriff's report said. They took his money and his wristwatch.

The robbers were white, slender and looked about 19 and 20, the sheriff's report said. They both wore spandex masks, blue baggy shirts and baggy pants.

Tip leads to arrest of man

who impregnated girl, 14

SPRING HILL _ A 21-year-old Spring Hill man was arrested Wednesday after a Hernando County Sheriff's Office detective learned the man had impregnated a 14-year-old girl.

Scotty Richards was charged with sexual battery on a child under 16, said Capt. Alan Arick, spokesman for the Sheriff's Office.

A sheriff's detective received an anonymous tip that the girl was pregnant. When the detective arrived at her house, he found that Richards was living at the house with the girl and her mother.

Richards told the detective that he had been having sex with the girl since she was 13, and that he knew how young she was when it started. He also admitted he fathered the child, which is due at the end of this month.

The girl's mother said she did not want Richards living at her home; however, "she wanted to keep him close by so that he can start paying for the child's expenses," the arrest affidavit stated.

Richards was being held at Hernando County Jail on $5,000 bail.
