GOOD FOR YOU

Samantha Lynn Cahue, daughter of Gregory D. Cahue of St. Petersburg and Billie Jean Williams of Sallisaw, Okla., has been accepted into the honors program at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith, Ark.

Cahue will receive four years of full tuition and $500 per semester for books. She is a recent graduate of Sallisaw High School and plans to major in nursing.

Heather Ledet Mixson, wife of Dave Mixson, mother of Hannah and Sarah, and daughter of Ron and Linda Ledet of St. Petersburg, graduated from the University of South Florida with a master's degree in nursing, specializing in oncology.

Mixson graduated from Boca Ciega High School in 1991 and also received her bachelor's degree in nursing from USF in 1999.

Michelle Prell of St. Petersburg was named Outstanding Junior at the Florida Institute of Technology's annual honors convocation.

Prell, a psychology major with a 4.0 grade point average, was also named the Outstanding Junior from the School of Psychology. She is the current president of Psi Chi, the national honor society in psychology, and has been president of the Undergraduate Psychology Student Association at Florida Tech. Prell is on the National Dean's List and is a professional dancer.

Prell will spend this summer in a clinical psychology internship at Alternative Treatment International Inc. in Clearwater.

Jessica Rogers-Isidore, daughter of Jessie Lee Thomas of St. Petersburg, retired after 25 years with the St. Petersburg Police Department as a major crime detective.

This past May, Rogers-Isidore graduated cum laude with a master's degree in criminology from Florida Metropolitan University. She is also a graduate of Gibbs High School.

Matthew Mussett, son of Richard and Alaine Mussett of St. Petersburg, graduated cum laude from Mississippi State University with a degree in communication.

Mussett will attend the University of Florida School of Communications graduate program in the fall. He is a 1998 graduate of Shorecrest Preparatory School.

Shana Lee Kelley Dyemring, daughter of Debra and Nick Billias of Treasure Island, received her juris doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law.

Dyemring has accepted a position with the law firm of Fowler White Boggs Banker. She will reside in Seminole with her husband, Tony.
