James practices in Orlando

LeBron James took his opening steps in his journey from hyped No. 1 draft pick to NBA player, going though his first practice with Cavaliers teammates and coaches Saturday night.

James went through a two-hour workout as the Cavs prepared for Orlando's six-team instructional league. James is expected to make his summer league debut Tuesday against the Magic.

Games begin at 3 Tuesday at the TD Waterhouse Centre, with James playing the final game about 7. Tickets are $5 general admission and can be bought at the box office, through Ticketmaster at 1-800-462-2849 or atwww.orlandomagic.com.

"I'm just happy to be back out on the court, playing some competitive games with my teammates," James said.

James' last full practice was March 22, the day before St. Vincent-St. Mary High won the third Ohio state title in his prep career.
