Gym closes

Gold's Gym, 16017 W Tampa Palms Blvd. in City Plaza, has closed. Gold's reached an agreement with Lifestyle Family Fitness, 15313 Amberly Drive in the Shoppes at Amberly Plaza. All memberships up to 36 months will be honored at Lifestyle. Call 971-8800.

Boot camp opens

Tampa Bay Adventure Boot Camp for Women has opened at 15455 Plantation Oaks Drive. The camp offers intensive fitness and nutrition programs. The camp's second boot camp starts on July 21. Call 368-3352.

Diving shop opens

Calypso Divers has opened at 15343 Amberly Drive. The store sells and rents diving equipment and gives seminars and certification classes for children and adults. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. Closed Sunday. Call 615-2126.


Gynecology office opens

Ron N. Shemesh has opened an office of holistic obstetrics and gynecology at 14372 N Dale Mabry Highway in the Shoppes of Carrollwood. Shemesh's practice focuses on relaxation, nutrition and exercise. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call 935-2273.


Preschool to close

Lutz First Baptist Preschool Center, 18116 U.S. 41, will close on Aug. 1 because of low enrollment and financial issues, according to director Maria LeVinus. Call 949-1897.

Sandwich shop to close

Rio Max's, 19017 U.S. 41, will close Aug. 29. The deli and food store is famous for Cuban sandwiches. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Closed Saturday and Sunday. Call 949-5734.
