Erica Goyette, 16, Pinellas Park

Goyette bowled the first 300 game in the Greater Pinellas Young American Bowling Alliance Association at Sunshine Bowl. The Dixie Hollins High junior is the second-youngest girl to roll a perfect game in Pinellas County. Jamie Potter, 14, of New Port Richey did it two years ago.

Rebecca Twiner, 21, Crystal River

The Crystal River High grad helped Western Carolina win its first Southern Conference women's golf title. Twiner, who received all-league honors, placed 13th individually with a 74-79-81_234. She also made the all-conference academic team with a 3.20 grade point average. In the NCAA East Region in May, the Catamounts finished 16th with Twiner in the lineup.

Adam Miller, 10, Largo

Miller went undefeated in the Bluegrass National World Karate Championships in Louisville, Ky., last month, winning five fights to take first in fighting in the 10- to 11-year-old division. Miller also took first in weapons and second in traditional forms. He has been training in martial arts for just six months.

Allison Jolly, 46, St. Petersburg

Jolly is training on Tampa Bay for the 2004 U.S. Olympic sailing trials. Jolly and crew Susie Reischmann, also of St. Petersburg, plan to sail the 470 Nationals, North Americans and CORK regatta in Canada. Jolly and crew Lynn Jewell won the 1988 Olympic gold.
