Fight on Fourth brings arrest on felony charge

A 19-year-old Holiday resident was arrested Sunday after a fight that left a man with a broken nose and black eyes, according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report.

Christopher W. Aldous of 3242 Garfield Drive was arrested on a charge of felony battery and was released early Monday from Land O'Lakes jail on $5,000 bail.

The victim, Richard McKenna, said his wife had gotten into a fight with neighbors on the Fourth of July. McKenna said that while he was videotaping the fight, Aldous punched him in the face.

As another man held McKenna in a choke hold, Aldous kicked and punched him in the face and chest, according to the report. McKenna was treated at a local hospital.

The report indicates that Aldous, under questioning from a sheriff's deputy, confessed to hitting McKenna.
